Circus Festivals!

In 2000 and 2001, I attended the National Circus Festivals, which were held in Golconda, Tasmania, and Mullumbimby, NSW, respectively. They would have to be the best festivals I have ever been to! It's so great to be in an environment where everyone else is interested and is as enthusiastic about circus arts as you. Plus, there are world class trainers running around everywhere just dying to teach you. Who could ask for more!
I'm currently working on some summaries for the two Festivals, but until they're up, have a browse through the photos below.

Here's a photo of two guys from Spaghetti Circus pasing fire torches and knives. The smaller guy, Eddie, came onto the stage in the red suitcase (seen in the background), pulled by the other guy.
The big guy on the bottom is Scott Hone, and the girl on top is Bronte (I'm not sure of her last name). Scott is now training with NICA in Melbourne, and bronte is touring with Circus Monoxide.
These next two are of the incredibly talented Vulcana Women's Circus, which is based in Brisbane. This routine is taken from their show 'I'd Rather Be A Cyborg Than A Goddess', and was performed under the Big Top at the Mullumbimby Show Grounds for the 10th National Circus Festival.
The girl at the top in the middle, Michelle, was a tutor at the Festival and taught me Static Trapeze.
An awesome act from Mullumbimby Circus Festival, again preformed under the Big Top.
The same girl, just a lot higher.
This is Rumplestiltskin....hard to explain. In fact...virtually impossible, except to say "One of a kind". We love you Rumple.
